BachGround Privacy Notice
1. Who we are
BachGround (“we”, “us”) operates bachground.com and the Video Composer service, which composes original music for your videos. We decide how and why your personal data is processed, so we are the data controller.

This notice applies to the website, the studio and editor, and all related services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. What data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service, bill you and keep it secure.

Our own monitoring of uploads and errors records the browser and operating-system family and technical file details, without your IP address or file names.
3. How we use your data

We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.
4. AI model training and your opt-out
We may use uploads and generated outputs associated with your account to train and evaluate our music models, as stated in section 7 of our Terms. We use this material only to improve BachGround; we never publish your videos or share them for others’ training.
To opt out, email hello@bachground.com from your account’s email address with “AI Training Opt-Out” in the subject line. The opt-out applies to future training and evaluation.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use two kinds of cookies.
- Essential: keep you signed in (Clerk) and complete payments (Lemon Squeezy). The service does not work without them.
- Analytics: Google Analytics (
_gaand related cookies) measures how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and where people stop in the upload flow.
By creating an account you accept the use of analytics cookies as described here. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
6. How long we keep data

We may keep limited records longer where the law requires it or to prevent fraud and protect the service, as described in section 7 of our Terms.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK (Law No. 6698, article 11), you can:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including opting out of model training (section 4);
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- complain to your data protection authority (in Turkey, the KVKK Board).
To use any of these rights, email hello@bachground.com from your account’s email address. We reply within 30 days.
8. Security, children and changes
- Security: data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is limited to the team, and media is served only to its owner after an access check. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at hello@bachground.com if you suspect a problem.
- Children: BachGround is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
- Changes: we will post updates on this page with a new date, and tell account holders about material changes.
